In the film titled ‘Shrimathi’ (meaning better half ,wife) actor director Upendra is acting with his ‘Shrimathi’ Priyanka as his counterpart that also stars Celina Jaitley for the first time in Kannada cinema. It is in this film Prakash Rai is also coming back to Kannada after a long gap.

It is after ‘H2O’ Upendra and Priyanka married and parents of two kids today. Nearly after six years Upendra has once again chosen his wife to the lead role in ‘Shrimathi’ that is produced by KSR Pictures. Producer K.V.Reddy is shooting for the film at Hyderabad surroundings in the second schedule. There are five songs in this film and two of them will be shot in South Africa says producer Reddy. G.K. has scored the music.

Upendra has written the story, screenplay for this film besides appearing in the lead. Sampath is heading the megaphone while Johny Lal is the cameraman.
